Hamlet
Once upon a time at the end of road
There was a hamlet called VIOLENCE
Where rowdies, roughs, profanities, vulgar and those could never come reach out
その昔、道の終点に
ヴァイオレンスと呼ばれる村がありました
乱暴者や荒くれ者、冒涜や俗悪ささえ
決して辿り着けない場所でした
The man in charge strove for the place and his people
Even sold a pig every year
And kept the right for the name of its own
He and the dwellers loved their lovely paradise
村の一番偉い人は、村と人々の為に尽力しました
毎年毎年、豚を一頭売ってまでしてお金を工面し
村の名を守ろうとしたのです
彼と村の住人は
その極楽を愛していました
In the 60s the government man came and warned against the name
After all he learned it was human beings that defined the word
The meaning of VIOLENCE
It was humans that expected
And he left
1960年代に
村に政府の人がやってきました
ヴァイオレンスという名前は変えるべきだと警告しにきたはずなのに
その言葉の意味を定義するのは人間で
人間が決めた定義でしかないのだ
ということに彼は気付き
そして帰っていきました
In the 80s a Hollywood man came
And offered big money for the ownership of its name
After all he learned it was not something he had imagined
As a hamlet called VIOLENCE
And he left
1980年代にはハリウッドの人がやってきました
札束を積んでその村を手に入れたいのだと
提案したのだけれど
ヴァイオレンスという名前の村が
彼の想像と違うことに気付き
そして帰っていきました
In the 90s the great man died in peace
The hamlet people knew that there were no more hogs left to sell
The weather had killed them all
But the hamlet called VIOLENCE was alright
1990年代に一番偉い人が穏やかに眠った時
村の人々はお金になる豚がもういないということに気付いていました
この天候が豚を全て殺してしまいました
村の金づるはなくなってしまったけれど
ヴァイオレンスという村は大丈夫でした
